The Los Angeles Dodgers began their franchise in the 1860s. Since 1990, the Dodgers have been a pretty rusty team. Sometimes in the middle of the season, they go on a sudden hot streak, but then fall short of the playoffs by quite a few games. Now with the addition of Gary Sheffield and pitcher Shawn Green, the Dodgers have been doing better than they have been in a long time.
Unfortunately since the Dodgers are in a division mixed with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Atlanta Braves, the Colorado Rockies, and the San Diego Padres, their playoff hopes are pretty low. Maybe in twenty years, the Dodgers could be storing pennants or winning World Series titles.
