Toronto Blue Jays

In the year 1977, the first ball club from Toronto made it's debut. For seven years, the Blue Jays swept the cellar of the American League, but finally in the 1983, season the Jays moved up a few places. Still they had a failing season. Finally in 1985, Toronto topped their division edging out the Yankees by two games.

Doyle Alexander, Jimmy Key, and Dave Stieb won a total of 45 games altogether, and reliever Dennis Lamp had a incredible 11-0 record making their pitching staff better than ever. Despite the help from Tony Fernandez, the Blue Jays fell short in the LCS and were out of the playoffs. It wasn't until 1993 when the Blue Jays won the World Series thanks to the winning home run by Joe Carter. The team has been quiet since then.

Now with the power of Carlos Delgado and new Mike Sirotka, they become a natural threat in the American League.
