Baseball
Rules
- Gather
as many people as possible (10-12 people recommended)
- Have an
auction like a draft to draft your 23 MLB players for your team.
The rules for drafting are as follows: You can spend only 260
imaginary dollars for your team. You must have two catchers, one
first baseman, one second baseman, one shortstop, one third
baseman, a backup first or third baseman, a backup second baseman
or shortstop, five outfielders, and nine pitchers. An example for
drafting is Player 1 calls out, "Mark McGwire for $1" . Player 2
calls, "Mark McGwire for $2 and so on until no one puts in another
bid. The person with the final bid gets the player and subtracts
the amount bid from the amount of money he or she currently has.
- Trades
are allowed between teams, but after every trade you still need 23
players
- Once
you have drafted your teams, you play your team against someone
else's team.
- Games
are won depending on how well your players are doing in MLB play.
The categories used for hitting are total RBIs, total home runs,
team batting average, and total stolen bases. As for pitching it
is team ERA, total wins, total saves, total walks, and total hits
divided by how many innings all your pitchers pitched.
- The
team with the best stats wins the game
Tips
- Spend
as much of you $260 as possible.
- Buy
relievers as well as starters because of the low hits total and
ERA they post up. You want relievers to get saves
- Find
out lots of info on the players so you can know who to
draft.
After
drafting it's time to sit back and relax and hope your team does
well. Good Luck!
