In our ThinkQuest project, we have learned that people were displaced from the Shenandoah National Park. We learned that Eminent Domain gave the government the power to take citizens property from them for a government project. Later we learned that a variation on Eminent Domain called Blanket Condemnation was used in the Shenandoah National Park. We have learned a lot about technology by using programs relatively new to us, such as Microsoft Word, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks. We have covered a lot about the Great Depression and the displacements that took place during that time.
By looking at our site the audience will learn about what Eminent Domain and Blanket Condemnation are, what the Great Depression was and what it did. Also, the audience will find out what the Shenandoah National Park is, and why and how it was created.
Take a look at our map questions.
Take a look at some math activities you can do with the data from The Undying Past of the Shenandoah National Park.
