Oh Lord, Help Us

by Megan

How could we have done such a terrible thing,

Killing, murdering, passing away

Everyone should,

Forget that day.

Some people think,

That it wasn't bad

But some people think,

It was very sad.

The question that,

Is burning in us,

Why use atomic bombs?

If we don't want them dropped on us.

We can be naughty

We can be nice

If we are warlike

the world will pay the price

         Peace Poem

by Hernan

 Peace means many things,

all the good things that it brings.

Peace must be worldwide,

and war must subside.

There must be no more destruction,

then is when peace will function.

This is a task for you and me,

If we truly believe, it can be.

Blessed are those who can see,

That peace is best for you and me.

In our homes we must start,

To share the peace with in our heart.

The Bomb Dropped On Hiroshima

by: Peter

Enola Gay went into flight

It was dropped after night

There was a bomb in the air

There was not a life to spare

It wasn’t a nice site

There was a blazing light

It was called little boy

It wasn’t a joy

The fight was long and dreary

Soldiers got weary

Hirohito reported his surrender

Japan was no longer a great defender
