Over the last winter break I got a dog named Callie.  She is a Golden Retriever.  My old dog died last September and we were very sad about that.  One month later we decided to get another dog.
     We researched all types of dogs.  About two weeks later, we decided to get a Golden Retriever.  In our research, we found that a Golden is a very friendly dog.  They all are eager to please which means easy training.  But most of all, Golden are one of the cutest dogs you can get.
     My mom searched the internet for a respected breeder.  She found one in Clarmore, OK.  These dogs were just little bitty puppies.  She went to pick out a puppy.  My mom decided to get a girl dog since they are less wild.  The puppy wouldn't be able to leave it's mother until December 19th.
     On the 19th of December we went to get our puppy.  The minute she saw us, she started to run and play.  She wasn't sad to leave her mom and she loved us.
     So far, she has been a great dog and we hope she will continue to be through the year.
