Here are some exciting facts about MAMMALS.
 Are mammals warm-blooded?
Mammals are warm-blooded animals. Mammals bodies always stay the same temperature. Their bodies don't change temperature even if it is freezing cold or burning hot outside.

Does my mammal have fur or hair?
Mammals can have fur or hair. Their fur can be any length, size, or style. There may be a lot of hair or just a few stiff hairs.

Is a mammal a popular pet ?
There are only about 4,000 types of mammals, but mammals are chosen most often for pets.  Mammals that are most often chosen are dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits.  Other common mammals are gerbils and mice.

How does my home affect my pet's ?
Dogs, cats, and rabbits can live either indoors or outdoors.  If you are wanting a dog, you should have space, a fence, and a yard.  It also would be a good idea to not have an apartment if you want a dog.  If you have rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, or any other mammals that live in cages, you should clean and wash the cage weekly.  You should make sure that the cage door is always closed unless you or someone else is right there in front of it. Any animals food and water should be changed daily.

Did you know that in the state of Arkansas pet stores cannot sell dogs or cats because the state requires dogs and cats to have 24 hour supervision.
You might want to check the laws in your own state.
