Now some of you may ask what is the Holocaust? Well the Holocaust was a very sad part of history. The Holocaust was when there was a group of people called the Nazis. The Nazis were troops from Germany that did not want Jews in Germany. Back then there was a man and his name was Adolf Hitler, he is the one that had started the Concentration Camps. If you are wondering what on earth are Concentration Camps they are places that had gas chambers in them and the Jews were taken there to die. Adolf Hitler was the one who wanted them built in the first place and he called it "The Final Solution." The idea to him was brilliant, but he was not thinking how much it hurt the Jews.

In 1941 a young Jew named Miles Lerman imprisoned in slave labor camp near Lvov, Poland had witnessed a Nazi guard force a father to choose between his two sons which one of them would be hanged. The father closed his eyes and reached out his hand to choose out of random.
How can someone chose which child to hang? I hope nothing like this will ever happen again in history.
