Nature
By: Scott

Nature is so beautiful
Gods gift from up above
The air is so fresh, trees so tall
White wings from a dove.

Mountains purple majesty
Fields of rolling grain
Rivers ling, lakes so deep
The moisture from the rain.

The peaceful wind blows with a song
The birds begin the sing
So remember this with all your heart
Nature's a beautiful thing.

Why?
(A poem about the Holocaust)
By Jake

As I sit here in this chair,
In this school, in this town. I think how
it must feel. How could they stay there.
How cruel that was. Thinking
Why?

Why did it happen?
Why tell me why.
I think how it must feel
Waiting there to die, hoping for
A better life, they try to
Think about joy. I am so glad
They don't have it any more,
Sitting in a corner, what can it
Be, 59052, the number belongs to me.
Crying, screaming, horrified, how can it be.
This will end someday wait and see, Goodbye
For now, but not forever, we will meet again
Someday, but now it's to go away.
All I have to say is:

Why did it happen?
Why tell me why>
I think how it must feel
Waiting there to die

When we were created no matter whos plan it was
we weren't just put here just because
the world would work better if its people worked hand in hand
so why do we insult fellow man

We cry when we were hurt or when we fall down
so why don't we cry when towns hate towns
shootings and killings at school and at work
in the open is where criminals lurk

We will kill one another like trees and like grass
yet we still cry about things that happen in the past
like wars, murders, and killings of race
the real enemy in the hate we must face

So we when hit or call names
are we humans or a horse that is lame
if united together "one nation under earth"
we will all see peace's great birth
