Pioneers
in the olden days wore dresses
and trousers. The men and boys wore trousers
that were made of cotten and duck and the fabrics were very hard to
were out. The women wore dresses that were just at the end of their
ankle. It was inappropriate for them to show their ankle. Women and
children often went barefoot. In the winter they dressed in animal
skins. Some women wore bonnets or shawls around their heads to shade
thier faces from the burning sun. If anything tore the women would
sew a new patch into it.the women had long dresses made of cotton.
They would make their dresses out of calico and cotton. In the summer
they would make their dresses out of calico to keep them cool. In the
winter they made them out of calico and cotton the cotten keep's them
warm when they have to go and milk the cow when their husband is out
hunting, and trading furs if he dose to get some cloth for his wife
and children. So they have some clothing for the summer and winter.
Their coths should last them about a year. In the summer they like to
go barefoot unless it is raining and they don't want to get sick. So
thats what they wore.
