The best example of honesty we could think of is a boy named Daniel Victor. Daniel is one of the teammates on our Think Quest Jr. team. Daniel is a little guy with a honest heart.
The rest of our team thinks that Daniel represents honesty the most because one time when we were at a hotel on the Big Island, Mr. Matsunaga, our coach, had to leave the room so the boys were in the room by themselves. So when Mr. Matsunaga went back to the room, the boys were all "asleep." Of course he suspected something was wrong because our boys are not the type to go to sleep that quickly so he asked the boys what happened. Daniel got up and said, "Oh.. we spilt a little juice on the floor." He was so innocent. Then there was the time we went to Oahu. Mr. Matsunaga did the same thing, and when he went back they were sleeping again, so he asked them, "What happened?," and Daniel got up and said, "Oh.. nothing, Kelson hit me with the pillow first (they had a pillow fight)."
A way to make a change for the better is to be more honest in your life. Have you ever lied to your parents or teachers about something you did or did not do? How did you feel? Did it make you feel bad knowing that you did something wrong and that you lied about it? To me it feels much better to get it off my back, by telling the truth and being honest. It is better for you to live a truthful life and not have to hide things. |
