Wayne Gretzky, known as
the "Great One," was a record breaking hockey player. He played for the
Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis, then retiring for the New
York Rangers. He was voted the National Hockey League "Most Valuable
Player" nine different times and the league's leading scorer ten times.
He holds 61 records in hockey. Gretzky scored more goals in one season
than any other player. He put up his stick in 1999, retiring as a
true legend!
