Numerous events occurred in the 1990's.    In the entertainment industry,  there was the Tomagotchi, Beanie Babies, and Furbies. The famous series of Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling, was a smash hit book all over the world.  Right now, J.K.Rowling is in the process of writing books that Harry himself read during the story, such as "Hogwarts."
    The World of Sports had numerous triumphs and record breaking events in the nineties.  Mark McGwire and Sammie Sosa brought the excitement back in America's favorite pastime as they raced for the "HomeRun King."  The United States women's gymnastic team upset the whole world, winning the Team Gold Medal.  Also, the women's U.S. Soccer upset China, winning the World Cup
     Some of the significant tragedies were the Oklahoma city bombing and the Columbine School shooting.
    Many fashions and appearances were popular.  There were new fads almost yearly in the nineties.  The nineties seemed to fall back into the "free spirit" type decade.
