Fads
and Fashions
![]()
There were many fads in the 1990's. Fitness and working out became a popular activity to do during this decade. Due to technology and improvements in the medical field, the cause of many illnesses and disease are caused by bad health habits. People began working out in fitness gyms more than ever before. Eating fat-free foods and drinking pure water from baught water became popular fads for these reasons also.

There were many fashions in the nineties. One of these fashions were Nike Air Jordans. Air Jordans were cool gym sneakers that were advertised by Michael Jordan.
Also, people in the nineties loved to wear bookbags. They were really helpful
when you were carrying a lot of books, materials, or any other heavy object.
Everywhere you go, you often see stores selling or advertising them in
their windows.
Kids and adults both love to wear baseball caps. They didn't just wear
them to baseball games, but everywhere else, too.
People
in the nineties also dressed really grungy (second-hand clothes). They
really didn't care about what they looked like when they walked outside.
They usually would wear big, baggy pants and old bulky shirts with holes
and looked dirty. Baby T-shirts were also in. These were shirts that
were very fitting and usually had a logo or design in the center.
In the late nineties, girls started to wear a muscle shirt called a spaghetti
strap or tank top. The shirt was hanging on them by two thin straps that
were wrapped on the shoulder.

People also like to wear flare pants which are tight on the upper part of the leg and are bulky at the bottom. Boys liked to wear sports jerseys in the nineties. The jerseys were usually netted and had a pro sport player's name and number on it.
