His real name is Albert Gore, Jr. He was the Vice President of the United States. He was a graduate of Harvard in 1969, after he served the Army in Vietnam. He also worked as a reporter for the House of Representatives, before he was elected. While in the senate, he became a defender of environmental causes, and nuclear arms control. In 1988, Al Gore failed to be elected for the Democratic President nomination. Then in 1992, Bill Clinton chose Al Gore to be his running mate. Since he was Vice President, Al Gore made a policy of reducing cost and size of the Federal Government.
