How did we do that?

HOME

After weighing and measuring
their owl pellets, each student
dissected and sorted what they
found.
The bones were then rearranged into
a skeleton.  By using skulls and teeth
the studentsidentified what kind
of prey their owl ate.
They can also determine the availability
of food depending on the number of
skeletons in their pellet.
Then we took a picture of one of the
skeletons with a digital camera and
labeled the skeleton bones using
PhotoShop 6.0.
