Pennsylvania

 

Pennsylvania was the second state to become part of the U.S. on December 12, 1787. The state's capital is Harrisburg. The nickname for this state is the Keystone State because it was a key to the U.S.

 The symbol of the quarter for Pennsylvania is the "commonwealth" statue. The statue is a women holding a ribbon representing justice and kindness. The statue was made designer Roland Hinton Perry, from New York. They chose this statue for the symbol because it is very well known statue to Pennsylvania
