Objectives

. Our objectives are to teach everyone about how hackers break into computers and how to stop them.  Also, we want to make kids aware of the consequences of malicious hacking.

We do not want to help teach kids how to hack into other people's computers.  For that reason, we are not listing any programs that are frequently used by hackers.

The hardest thing we had to do was to take a boring topic and make it interesting and useful.   We hope this site opens your eyes about the potential dangers in CyberSpace and arms you to protect yourself on your journey.

This site was designed to walk you through a path.  Your guide today will be Officer URL.  He is an experienced traveler in CyberSpace and will show you the way through this site.

"Hello, I am Officer URL.  I will be your guide today.  Please follow my directions.

You will be tested on your knowledge before and after your journey through this site.   Please take the time to answer the polls and test questions.  This will give us feedback on whether we have met our goal in educating you.

This is the path you will follow:
1)Entrance Exam
2)Prosecution
3)"I will not be a cracker" Agreement
4)Hacker Techniques
5)Defense Measures
6)Exit Exam
7)Playground

Warning for smart kids:
Be warned, if this subject interests you, feel free to do more research on your own. Remember though in CyberSpace you don't know whose feet you might step on. No matter how smart you might think you are, there is someone out there that is smarter and may come after you if they feel you are easy prey or just messing in the wrong place.

Right now, the Internet is like the Wild Wild West of yesterday. Law enforcement and security are pretty scarce.  If you mess with a hacker's site you could be their next victim. If you mess around with a commercial site, (a business) or government site, law enforcement will track you down and your parents will spend your college tuition to reduce jail time you will serve."

"Please come take your entrance exam."
