Stonewall Jackson

Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson was one of the most famous Confederate generals. He got his nickname from the battle of Bull Run, where he stood like a wall and earned the name Stonewall. General Beauregard (CSA) was rallying his men and said, "Look at General Jackson standing like a stone wall".

In Chancellorsville he was scouting and while he was coming back the Confederate infantry "thinking that he was a Union spy" shot him. His left arm had to be amputated and he later died. When it happened, R. E. Lee said, "He lost his left arm, but I have lost my right arm."
