Brooding- When a parent bird keeps it's chicks warm after they hatch, usually by huddling them against her body.
eyas- A peregrine baby
Fledgling- A eyas that has it's baby (immature) plumage (feathers) and leaves the nest to fly. This happens at 5-7 weeks of age.
Hatchling- A eyas that has not yet fledged. This stage lasts from 0-5 weeks of age.
Incubate- When a bird sits on its eggs to keep them warm.
Migrate- When a bird flies south (to warmer climates) for the winter.
Population- The amount of animals of the same species (kind) in one group.
Talons- The feet or claws of Raptors.
