Phoning Home
To call home when on the road, besides considering the cell
phone option, consider using a phone card (some are rechargeable
via phone) or perhaps setting up an 800 # at home to call in
on.
Look at what each option has to offer in terms of cost and
service and select what works best for you.
We opted to go with the phone card, something we never used
before touring but, something which my mom continues to carry
and use to make whatever phone calls she needs to make, when
we're out for the day.
