Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin is an English naturalist. He is grandson of Eramus Darwin.

Charles Darwin established the theory of evolution. His position as official naturalist aboard the H.M.S. Beagle during its world voyage (1831-1836) started Darwin on a career of his ideas of evolution.

In 1858 he and Alfred Russel Wallace  published summaries of their independently conceived ideas  of natural selection; a year later Darwin put out the structures of his theory and got  support for his theory and  support  his Origin Of Species. This was supplemented by later works, not The Descent of Man (1871).

Darwin also formulated a theory of the origin of coral reefs.
