The Rock Show

On March 11,2001 two of the Rock ThinkQuest members went to the 54th Annual Gem and Mineral Show.

We won rocks by giving a man $.50 to spine a wheel.

Whatever number the wheel lands on, that is the rock you get.

One of the unusual rocks was the Lazer Ruby it did not look like a normal Ruby it was a brite pink.

The Lazer Ruby looked like glass.

We also got tickets.

If they matched what the people said, you got a prize.

There was also a raffle it had prizes you could win.

We were there for about one hour.

We saw Petrified wood, Turquoise,Amethyst, Leopard Skin Jasper, Tiger Iron, Blue Forest, Ruby, Garnet, Ammonite, Blue Topaz, Pichroic Glass, Smoky Quarts and many more.

We think the best part about it was seeing and getting to know the kinds of rocks.

We had a lot of fun and hope to go next year!
