The ancient Olympic games were sacred events
and are known to
have existed for 12 centuries. Athletes from all over
Greece
joined the festival at Olympia. The sports they had were chariot racing, boxing,
and foot races. They still have boxing and foot races today. Only the men could
go to the Olympics. Women were forbidden to play in the Olympics and watch the
Olympics. If the women did those things they would face the penalty of |
