Hey, guys and gals. This story is all about Cinderella,
but a different version. Now, let’s go into the mysteries of Cinderella!
|
|
A maiden of a very rich man was dying so she called her only daughter to come
sit by her. This is what she said, "Dear child, be good and polite and god
will take care of you." That is when her mother died. Her daughter and
husband cried for a very long time.
 |
Then winter and spring came and went. Then the man had taken another wife, but she was ugly and cruel. She made the
young girl, whose name was Cinderella, clean the kitchen, do the mopping, the
dishes, and the washing to earn her meals. |

|
One day Cinderella’s father was going to the fair and he asked what he
should bring back for his stepdaughters. One said jewels, and another said
dresses. When he asked what Cinderella wanted, she asked for the first branch he
brushed against. So on his way home he got the presents, and when Cinderella got
her present she planted it in her mother’s grave. It reminded her of her
father and mother together. She cried so much that her
tears watered it and it grew into a big tree. Two seconds later a little white
bird landed on the tree and gave Cinderella her wish, which was to see her
mother one last time.
It happened however that the prince was throwing a ball for all the young
women in town. When the two stepsisters heard about this they were delighted
because they both wanted to go. They said if Cinderella could get clean enough,
she could go. So Cinderella went upstairs to get ready. She sang this little
song as she got ready, "A dream is a wish your heart makes. When you’re
fast asleep in dreams, you lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for comes
true. Have faith in your dreams and someday your rainbow will come smiling
through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing the
dream that you wish will come true.

So the stepsisters got ready and they all went to the ball. The prince only
danced with Cinderella. The sisters were so mad they made Cinderella leave by
telling everyone she was just a common maid. The prince was in love so the
stepsisters had to be maids and Cinderella lived happily ever after with the
prince.
