Randy Moss

In the year 2000 Randy Moss made 15 touchdowns, two fumbles, and three rushing attacks. He was named the 2000 Pro Bowl most valuable player, because he had set records for receiving yards (212) and nine Pro Bowl catches in the game, and scored the last touchdown of the game making the score 51-31 for the win! He also set the new Viking's single season record for yard receiving games in a season in 1999. With Chris Carter, he made a team record for receiving at 2,054 yards in 1999. He is the first Viking receiver to lead the NFC since Ahmad Rashad in 1979. In 1999, Moss was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second straight season, where he was the Most Valuable Player of the game. Also he was named to the USA Today All Pro Team, chosen for the 1999 All-Madden Team, and was named NFC's Most Offensive Player Of The Week at Chicago where he had twelve catches for 204 yards, including a 44 yarder. His 204 yards were second, behind the 210 yards by Sammy White for NFL. He broke Chris Carter's team record for receiving yards in a season; 1,413 yards. Randy also set a new Viking's record 100-yard games in a season with seven. He also had 100-yard days vs. Detroit, Green Bay, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, and Tampa Bay. His 188-yard receiving day at St. Louis ranks second in the team post season history, while his 127-yard performance vs. Dallas in the wild card playoff game is the fourth best performance in team post-season history. Also he joined with Robert Smith in the Dallas Wild Card Playoff Game to become the only Vikings tandem to have a 100 yard receiving and rushing day in team history.

He was chosen West Virginia High School Football player of the year as a senior. He earned All State honors at DuPont High, was twice elected the State Basketball Player of the year, and lettered three times in basketball, track, football, and baseball.

He has a daughter named Sydney and a son named Thaddeus.
