The Filipino Custom

The Filipino custom is a tradition or what Filipinos do when a person of their family passes away. They put a picture of the person who died on a platform in a special place sort of like a temple or an altar.

Then the family puts food and a beverage by the picture. They light candles and they put the meal by the picture. Sometimes, they put it either by or underneath Jesus' cross. The reason in which they do this is for an offering for that special someone that has just entered the after life.

The next day, the person that has put the offering out has to refill it because the food is found eaten an the beverage is drunk or half way gone.
