Otto Lilienthal was a German mechanical engineer.
He became interested in the the way birds fly and how the wind effects
their flight. He made over 2500 successful glider flights.
Some people call him the father of gliding experiments. Otto Lilienthal
died in a motored glider when his motor stalled and it fell to the ground
