Introduction What is located in Rome? Boring old buildings,dirt streets everywhere? No!! A sunny city with beautiful historical buildings over flowing with facts is how I see it. But if you don't see it as I do,then you need to read this info on the fact filled city,Rome. Did you know that Rome was voted the worlds most beautiful city? Well,it's 100 percent true. This amazing city is located on the Tiber River in Italy. Rome is in the heart or middle of Italy. If you lived in Rome you would like to go to an Opera for entertainment very often. Back in 753 BC, this city that tourists adore, was founded. In Rome, there are 22 central districts, 18 residential, and 11 outer suburbs. St. Peter's Church is very popular with the residents. What a crowded city!! This beautiful city is home to 2,777,250 people!!! Trevi Fountain is popular for residents to throw coins into. There is 582 miles of land in Rome. In the month of January, it is 45 degrees and in July it is 78 degrees. Rome is known for it;s shopping and parks. One of the parks is Villa Borgiese. But mainly known for its ruins. Rome has MANY beautiful ruins!!! Just to name a few, there's Aqua Claudia, The Baths of Caracalla, The Fountain of Neptune,The Catacombs{used for burial places} The Colosseum which WAS a huge amphitheater,Roman Forum,The Pantheon,The Arch of Constantine, and Trajan's Column {which stands 100 feet tall}. Some fine paintings are in Rome. The favorite sport is soccer, which is a form of football in Rome. The also play tennis,basketball, and boxing. The Sports Palace was built in 1960 for the summer Olympic games. The Roman citizens live by farming crops on farmland away from the bustling city and tourists. Ancient Romans spoke Latin languages. Rome is not what I thought it was!! I knew the city had a lot of ruins, but I thought it was all dirt roads, and huts on the side of the roads for houses. But Rome is a chest of gold shimmering for all people to come and view the great sites that Rome holds.
