Arch de Triomph Paris may not have the position
of being Europe's most happening city, but is
still the queen of the continent. Paris has
more museums, better nighttime diversions, better
hotels, neater and more varied shops, and the most
talented stable of chefs in the world. If
you've never been to Paris before, everything will
be new to you. If you have been to Paris, but
not recently, expect some changes. A site in Paris you will definitely want to visit is the Eiffel Tower. If there is one most recognizable structure in the world it is the Eiffel Tower. This extremely large tower weighs 7,000 tons, but puts about the same amount of pressure on the ground as an average size person sitting in a chair. It got its name by the builder, Gustav-Alexandre Eiffel. The best time to see this structure is one hour before sunset, although you can see it 40 miles away on a clear day. A world famous museum, if you like to enjoy looking at famous paintings is the Musee du Louvre. The Louvre is a world famous museum displaying one of the most famous paintings, The Mona Lisa, and the statue, Venus de Milo. The Louvre is also the world's largest museum and palace. 
A picture of the Eiffel Tower Sports Many Parisians enjoy sports. Whether they are watching or playing, everyone gets into Soccer. It is the most popular sport in France today. Shooting and fishing are also enjoyed in France. Notre Dame Shopping Paris is considered the fashion capital by many people. Each neighborhood in Paris has their own unique style and attitude. If you are on vacation in Paris and looking for gifts or souvenirs, a good place to find them are in Paris' museums. Eating in Paris might not be what you would expect. Paris has a wide range of ethnic restaurants, too-North and West African, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Greek, and many more. The number of vegetarian restaurants has gained, also. 
Sacre-Coeur (Famous basilica in Paris) Transportation Many people in Paris use the Paris Metro to get around. The Metro is a popular choice because it is cheap and very easy to use. It is known as one of the best transportation sources in the world. Have you ever wondered what the money in France is called and how much one American dollar equals? The money in France is called French Francs. One American dollar equals about 6.96 French Francs, but changes with the currency conversions. Many people choose Paris as their vacation destination because of all the historic sights to see. Imagine seeing a church built in the early 800's makes 100 year old churches in the United States seem like they were just built.
