Huge shopping buildings, such as Macy's line the streets of New York City. You don't just find a mall with little stores in it. You find a huge building with only one store but many floors.
As you waIk down 5th Avenue, you will see small stores. To get into these stores you might have to ring a bell and wait for the store keeper to unlock the door. (I don't blame them for that. Would you want a robber to come in a steal something expensive?)

One meaning of culture is the many different ethnic groups that live throughout the city.
