Food

The food in Montreal reflects over 35 ethnic groups in its 4,000 or so resturants. French food is very common from expensive food to casual, low, every day prices. There is also some of the other food that represents other groups such as Asian, Vietnamese, and Indian.

One of the the most popular foods of Montreal is Poutine. Poutine is french fries covered in curd chese and brown gravy. Montreal is also famous for its smoked meat.

Shopping

Shopping in Montreal could be hard, bacause of the harsh weather. But because of its undergrond city, its not. The underground city is a huge undder ground mall, so that you may get to it by subway.

Some of the stores might sell casual clothes or very expensive latest clothes from Paris.

Weather

If you want to make a winter visit you would want to be prepared for the heavy ocasional snow falls. Don't plan on seeing the outside atractions. If you do want to see the outside atractions, wait until late June to let the snow melt.

Plan on heat and sometimes thunderstorms if you want to go in the summer. The highs are usually in the 80's. At this time of year the outside atractions are open.

Sports

Throughout January, February, March, April you can go and see some of the NFL hockey games. There are also home games for the Montreal Canadians that you can go see.

Landmarks

The Olympic Park-

The Olympic park was the site of the Olympics games of the year 1976. There, you can find the world'ss tallest tower, public swimming pools, and multimedia.
