Birds
Birds are fun to have and
different types of birds require different things.
The average bird requires a clean, roomy cage with
different perches, the right kind of seeds, fruits,
and vegetables, and some kinds of toys.

What does owning a bird cost? The
cost varies depending on the type of bird. A cocktail would
cost around $100, but a parakeet would cost only $50. If you
own a parakeet or cocktail, this is what it would cost to
keep it for a year:

Being Responsible- Here are some
tips to help you take care of your birds.
- If you're a bird owner, and you
really love your bird, don't kiss it because a bird's
mouth is much cleaner than yours. If you kiss it, your
bird could die within less than hour because of your
germs.
- Another thing that can kill your bird
is being put on a diet. When they are put on a seed-only
diet, they are also put at a risk of dying within a short
period of time.
- Never ever try to surprise your bird,
because it will really upset the bird and maybe even
cause it to have a heart attack.
- Don't shout or using a loud tone of
voice.
- Don't squirt the bird with water.
Misting is okay, just not huge blasts. Don't make a rapid
approach from behind or from where the bird can't see
you.
- Don't hold direct eye contact with
your bird.
- When sick you should take your bird
to an avian
specialist.
