Our park has been
designed for people of all ages to enjoy for all seasons. We
have planted flowers and trees that can be found on Cape Cod
in our flower beds. The fish pond has been stocked with fish
you could find in our local area. The dimensions of our park are 200
yards wide by 150 yards long. Do you know what the total
perimeter of our park would be? The area? Do you know what the geometric
shapes are for the elements of our park?
Our classroom project required us to create and estimate the
dimensions of elements in the park. As we designed the area we thought the park should have a
place for younger children (a baby gym and a regular jungle gym were
included.) Then we decided that our real life town, Bourne, really did
need a park like the one we were creating so we decided to create a FAMILY
DAY with a possible summer schedule just like other towns on
Cape Cod have.
Some of the events actually happen in our town, we just grouped them
together in our fictional park. This is our first experience with technology,
we hope you enjoy our creations.
Mrs. Doble and Ms. Davis helped us to make up math problems so make sure
you check out our math page. If you are interested
in knowing more about Cape Cod, check out our Cape Cod local interest
page. It was
created for middle school students for reports.
