I
am an 11-year-old girl named
Catherine. My two
favorite foods are pizza and ice cream. My hobbies are dancing and basketball. My favorite movies are ‘Meet the Parents’ and ‘Ferris
Bueler’s Day Off’.
My job in the park is the horticulturist. Horticulture is the
science of growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
Horticulture originally meant the practice of gardening and,
by extension now means the cultivation of plants once grown in
gardens. The term
agriculture, by derivation, referred to more open forms of culture
such as the production of grains and grasses, known as agronomic
crops, which are cultivated on a large scale.
A plant grown for home consumption may be called
horticultural; the same plant cultivated for forage is regarded as
an agronomic crop. Please view my contribution to this project here.

Hi! My name is Kristina. I attend
Bourne Middle School. My two favorite foods are steak and leftover
thanksgiving dinner. Somehow, it tastes better the next day. I enjoy
watching Who’s Line Is It Anyway and MTV, my favorite television
programs. I favor the colors blue and orange and also the movies
Forest Gump and the Matrix. During my lifetime, I would like to
visit Liechtenstein and Sidney, Australia.
For the Thinkquest program, I am the historian. I researched the history of Cape Cod. For example, I
looked up how the land was formed, who settled here, and who helped
build the Cape Cod Canal. I also investigated some of our town’s
landmarks and offered a traditional recipe for the Family Day picnic
that the settlers before us have prepared or eaten. I have provided
links that tell about the history of Cape Cod for everyone to visit
while viewing this site. You can view my contribution here.

Hi, my name is Sarah, I am very athletic and I

and boxing. My favorite sport to play is basketball because it is
exciting and fun. I really like the movies Top Gun and Grease.
My favorite actor is John Travolta, he has been my favorite
since I was 5 years old. My favorite subject is English. I was the
Media Specialist for the park. I emailed the companies, internet
sites we gathered information from. I also emailed people in our
area such as our headmaster and superintendent, so that they could
review our site before we submitted it to Thinkquest. I enjoyed this
job because it was fun to email people and receive their responses.
Adults should realize that children can do complicated
tasks such as this. I also helped Jay design
and create the park and the elements of the park for our puzzle. I
know you’ll enjoy our site as much as I did creating it.
