The Spotted Dolphin is usually a steal gray color from the back, to the snout, and around the eyes. Normally the stomach is a pale gray and the pectoral fins are a dark gray. Then it has spots all over it. An adult's body is thin and relatively stocky. The snout is usually medium-size and distinct from the head. The Spotted dolphins have between 41-45 small cone shaped teeth. The dorsal fin is thin, median, and falcate. The pectoral flukes are medium sized.
