The Baiijia River Dolphin is a river dolphin. It can be found in the Yangtze River in China. The Baijia River Dolphin has a stocky body and a long, thin snout, which is not quite flat and tilts up slightly. Their pectoral fins are small and rounded at the tip.  A baijia's low triangular dorsal fin is found toward the middle of it's body. Their caudal fin has a median notch, and is well developed. Their eyes are small and are near the top of the head.  Tiny ear openings are found where most other dolphin's eyes are. The Baijia's colors are pale, smoked gray, as well as  white on the stomach. There is a white collar drawn around the eyes. Inside the mouth there are 31 to 36 coned-shaped teeth on each jaw.
