The Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin is an oceanic dolphin. This dolphin's body is fusiform, and the head is short. Like Pacific White- Sided dolphin, the snout is only slightly distinct from the head. The dorsal fin is medium sized, high, and falcate. The pectorals are short. There are 30 to 35 small coned shaped teeth on each side of both jaws. The back of this dolphin is black, while the flukes are gray, and there is a white stain right beneath the dorsal fin. The eyes are ringed in black. All fins are black and a gray band connects the pectoral fins to the mouth. The lower jaw, chin and stomach are white.
