The Atlantic Humpback Dolphin is a coastal dolphin. It can be found near Africa's west coast. The Atlantic Humpback dolphin has a hump ahead of the dorsal fin,  a careen on a ventral side, as well as dorsal fins. The dorsal fin of this dolphin is slightly falcate.   The pectoral fins are small and the flukes have a well-defined median notch.      On each side of the jaw there are 30 to 34 small coned-shaped teeth. The newborn babies are a creamy, pearly white, whereas the adults have a dull white coloring from the tail to the snout. Their flanks are dark grey, and their stomachs are light grey.
