Blow Hole

The Blow Hole is located in between the dolphin's eye and dorsal fin. It is a small opening letting air in so the dolphin can survive under water.

Belly

The Belly is located on the underside of the dolphin.

Beak

The beak is located right next to the eye of the dolphin. Another word for this is a snout.

Dorsal Fin

The dorsal fin is located on the top of the dolphin. It is made of fibrous tissue; no bone nor muscle

Eyes

The eyes have a jelly like substance over them that protect them from salt and sand that is in the water..

Fins

Are made of bone covered with cartilage that helps the dolphin steer itself through the water.

Fluke

A paddle on the end of the tail of the dolphin that is shaped like a wing on an aircraft.  This wing pushes the dolphin through the water with great speed and power.

Teeth

Sharp and pointed, single row on top and bottom that differ from porpoise teeth in that they are sharp instead of rounded.
