Abolishment of Slaver y 1862

After Abrham Lincoln was elected in 1860 he started to deal with slavery. The south was afraid of losing political power if Lincoln abolished slavery, which Lincoln did because he saw slavery as something that is just plain wrong. After he took their slaves he gave slave holders money. Everything worked out. Signing the law, of not having slavery, was a big success.
