William McKinley was born on January 29, 1843 in Niles, Ohio. He was in office from March 4, 1897 - to September 14, 1901. He is a Republican, not a Democratic. McKinley married Ida Saxton in 1871 at age thirty. He died at the age of fifty-eight on September 14, 1901 in Buffalo, New Jersy. Ida Saxton was born on June 8, 1847 in Canton, Ohio, and she died at age fifty-nine on May 26, 1907 in Canton, Ohio. Saxton had two daughters with McKinley, but they both died young . |
