William Henry Harrison
Willam Henry Harrison was born on February 9, 1773 in Berkely,
Virginia, but soon after moved to Ohio. His ancestors immigrated from
England. His father and mother were Benjamin Harrison and Elizabeth
Basset Harrison. His wife was Anna Tuthill Symmes. He had ten
children, six boys and four girls. He attended Hampden-Sydney College.
Willam Henry Harrison's religion was Episcopalian. His party was the
Whig Party. This party no longers exist in our United States government.
He served in office only one month and then died of pneumonia, on April
4, 1841, at the age of 68. He got pneumonia from his constant travel and
campaigning around the United States. His Vice-President, John Tyler,
then served after him.
