Benjamin Harrison
Benjamin Harrison was the twenty-third
president of the United States. He was
born in Cincinnati, Ohio on a farm near
the Ohio River. He attended Miami
University in Ohio. He moved to
Indianapolis where he campaigned for
the Republican Party. Harrison married
Caroline Lavinia Scott in 1853.
Harrison received 100,000 fewer votes
in the election than Grover Clevand,
and won the Electoral College 233 to
168. Harrison died in 1909.
