There were two surveys administered to our class. The first survey, which will be discussed here was a teacher directed survery. After the survery was administerd to the class, the results were tabulated and converted into percentages. Each item on the survey was recorded into three groups: boys, girls, and the class. The results were then placed in tables, for quick review.
Next, we gave
a copy of the survey to our professional therapist. She arranged the items into clusters that we could discuss. The clusters
she made are as follows:
1. FEELINGS
The questions in this cluster include Question #1,
"Do I feel good about myself?", Question #3, "Do I know why I'm someone special?",
Question #8, "Can I give myself put-ups?", Question #14, "Do I know what I am good at?", and
Question #16, "Do I know what I value?"
2. KNOWLEDGE
The questions in this cluster include
Question #4, "Do I know what put-ups/put-downs are and how they make people feel?",
Question #5, "Do I know how to express my anger without hurting myself or others?", Question #6,
"Do I know how to be a good friend?", Question #11, "Do I know what I look for in a
friend?", Question #15, "Do I know what I need to work on?", and Question #7,
"Do I know what peer pressure is?"
3. WHAT I DO
This cluster included Question #2,
"Do I take part in group discussions?", Question #9, "Do I cooperate with others?", and Question #12,
"Do I help others?"
4. WHAT I AM
This cluster, "What I Am", included only one question, which was
Question #13, "Am I truthful and honest?"
5. WHAT I DO ABOUT WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT
Finally, cluster number five includes
one very important question: Question #10, "Do I know why it's important to talk about my feelings?"
