Tissue Lei

What you need to make the lei

• 3 x 3 inch squares of different colored tissue paper
• Oaktag cut in 2 inch strips. The piece should be long enough to go comfortably around the head (across the forehead), but not too loose. Leave a few extra inches on the ends to tape together when done.
• Glue, pencil, masking tape

1. Spread glue evenly over a short patch of the oaktag, about 3 to 4 inches.

2. Put the eraser end of the pencil in the center of a piece of tissue paper and twist the paper slightly up around the pencil.

3. Stick the piece of tissue paper on the glue.

4. Add more tissue pieces in whatever color pattern you want until the lei is done.

5. Tape the inside ends of the oaktag together with masking tape after final sizing to your head.
