The plumeria lei is one of the most popular lei in Hawaii, and one of the easiest to make. It is called Frangipani in other places.
To make the lei you will need flowers, a needle (a long lei needle is nice, but a regular one will do fine), and thread (double regular thread, or use dental floss).
Here are some different colored plumeria blossoms.
Clip the end of the blossom off.
String the
blossoms on the thread one at a time. If you want a single strand,
put the needle through the center of the flower. 
If you want a "double" lei, put the needle through the side of the flower stem in groups of three flowers.
The double lei takes a lot more flowers, but the front of the flower shows.
"They smell nice!"
