These are some of the things you would see if you went to a historical museum.

School House- At the school house all the children learn their studies in one room with all the grades.  The teachers were the teachers/janitors.

Blacksmith Shop- At the blacksmith shop you will see mostly men making tools by fire and iron.

Log House- The log house was a one room home where families lived.  There was one bed, one table, and a loft.

Print Shop- At the print shop there are wide windows were there is enough light to come through for typesetting by hand.

Log House Furniture- At the log house the bed was made of ropes and a pillowcase of something soft that can be gathered from outside.  The table was in the center of the first floor, which in 2000 would be used to seat 4-6 people.  The chest was like a dresser for the whole family.  Each person only had 1-2 outfits.  The children slept on the floor of the loft, which was upstairs.  They slept on the ground because the only heat source was on the first floor.

Children’s Toys- The children did not have very many toys.  They did have some toys that they made themselves.  The girls made dolls out of straw and animal skins.  The boys made checkers out of wood and dye from berries.
