BODY ARMOR
Chain mail This is also referred to as ring mail.  It's made of many steel rings and constructed of multiple linkings sewn to a leather cloth.  The chain mail was used mostly from the 11th century to the 13th century.  The cost of the chain mail was high. Because it was double heavy, it was double protection.
The Jack The jack was a padded garment stuffed with wool, hair, or similar material. Though it sounds like a weak armor, it was surprisingly good at stopping a dead blow. No picture available.
Steel Plates This armor is a full body armor that in 1400 every knight was wearing.  This armor weighed 44 lb.  This armor didn't let you get hurt much at all.
Scale Mail The scale mail was used around the world for thousands of years.  It was made by attaching some steel rings to a leather garment.
