I'm doing fine and I will be home on leave in about 5 days so you don't have to worry. Took a 3 week vacation.

Yesterday I went to a party. I was surprised to see my friend Mclean! Do you remember him? He was my first friend. I walked up to him and he was surprised and we started to talk about what we did when we were kids.

Today at training I had to practice on a turret with Mclean and I wasn't that lonely because Mclean was training with me. The turret had a large gun on it. I could see the whole Pearl Harbor and the USS Calafornia, Maryland, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. I was thinking while I was training on the USS Arizona why they put all the ships together? Wouldn't that be dangerous? If another country attacked us wouldn't the ships be a easy shot? ( Well, I don't have to worry because what are the chances of a war?)

When I get home I would like to be a police officer so I can protect people. "I would rather protect people at home than be on a battle ship worrying about a war". That is why I want to be a police officer. I also meet this girl on the USS Arizona.

I think she likes me!I can't stop thinking about comming home and meeting you three and tell little Bobby that I'm coming home.
